How do you pay tribute to Robert Downey Jr.?
That's the question that has Mel Gibson, Jamie Foxx and Garry Shandling stumped in a roast video that played before Downey was honored with the American Cinematheque Award last month.
As we learn, Gibson's only there for the cheese plate, Shandling's never seen ...

I'm going out on a limb this week, and I'm choosing a DVD set I haven't seen for my "Pick of the Week" (minor mix-up at the PR firm) - Not Just The Best Of The Larry Sanders Show. Though this is a dreaded "best of" release (please, please continue with the series in seasons sets), there are tons of bonus materials on the release. Garry Shandling is joined by Peter Tolan for commentary on two episodes, with Todd Holland and Judd Apatow doing one episode a piece. There's a documentary about making the series, deleted and extended scenes, alternate takes, and interviews with Alec Baldwin, Ellen DeGeneres, David Duchovny, Tom Petty, Jerry Seinfeld, Sharon Stone, Jon Stewart, Carol Burnett, Penny Johnson, Wallace Langham, Scott Thompson, Janeane Garofalo, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Sarah Silverman, Jeremy Piven, Bob Odenkirk and Linda Doucett. Read on for our sassy rundown of the show's most memorable highlights....
Enough Already!C'mon, The Larry Sanders Show ended in 1998! Shouldn't Garry Shandling have squeezed in all those self-referential winks to Sanders during his first gig as Emmys emcee? That said, the best one was David Duchovny showing up on his imaginary reality show — What's in Front of Garry's Door? — with a Ping-Pong pa

In order for this year's Primetime Emmy Awards to be considered a success, I decided early on that one of three things must happen. The first one is obvious: To hell with the restraining order, I gotta finally meet Mariska Hargitay. Next, I must observe at least one uncomfortable moment between Sex and the City-movie killer Kim Cattrall and her resentful costars, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis. And lastly, and this is a big one, the Academy has to end what's arguably become one of the most egregious snubs in awards show history and hand Scrubs the statuette for best comedy series. What? It wasn't even nominated? Great, I'm 0 and 1 and I haven't even put on my tux yet. Mariska, here I come!
1:15 pm/PST I arrive at the security check-in and there's a homeless man at the front of the line trying to gain access. Ah, Hollywood.
1:16 Wait, that's not a homeless man — it's Garr
