Timothy Hutton, who last tempted TV viewers with last season's Kidnapped, has landed the lead in the TNT drama pilot Leverage, says the Reporter. Hutton plays an investigator for Big Insurance who turns around and targets greedy corporations when his dying son is denied medical treatment.... Kevin Spacey has joined Recount, HBO's movie about the bungled 2000 election, playing a top aide to Vice President Al Gore.... Gail O'Grady, Greg Germann and Robert Mailhouse will star in All I Want for Christmas, a Hallmark flick about a single mom whose sad little dating life miraculously turns around. That's lovely and all, but what does it have to do with my two front teeth?

Crane, Poole & Schmidt's semi-extreme makeover continues. Joining John Larroquette and Tara Summers as new additions to the Boston Legal cast this season are Circle of Friends' Saffron Burrows (as a sexy 'n' sophisticated litigator/former lover of James Spader's Alan) and Hustle & Flow's Taraji Henson (arriving mid-season as a New York office cohort of Larroquette's). The Reporter is also reporting that Mark Valley and Rene Auberjonois, half of last month's surprising cast purge, will return for multiple appearances, while Gail O'Grady is set to reprise her role of Judge Weldon for several episodes.

Hello, all you Hidden Palms fans! My, but you are an exclusive lot. Perhaps a tad too exclusive. That might be why the network is now showing two episodes (that’s right, two original episodes back-to-back!) this Wednesday and next Wednesday, in the hopes that they can ignite Hidden Palms fever by the time our finale airs on July 4.
