Sweet Linda Mason (Vera Miles) hires Jim Nolan (Lloyd Bridges) to get her horse, Gypsy Prince, into top racing condition. But while Linda and Jim grow increasingly fond of each other, the tough trainer has little faith in the steed's abilities. When Gypsy Prince and its jockey are injured in an accident on the track, Jim -- his skepticism bolstered -- abandons the team for a wealthy stable owner, leaving Linda to nurse the horse back to glory.
