It s already all over the netz (it s on the front page of AskJeeves.com right now), but it s internet must-see-tv, so here it is. I d just like to point out - if any of you did not have the privilege of attending a large state school as I did, this is what it felt like to ride the on-campus bus on weekends after 11 pm (with some Journey sandwiched in). Move over, Somebody To Love Guy, cause Freddie Mercury s spirit has found a new drunken body to inhabit: Sidenote: Did he technically just confess to a murder? Wow. When I see a video on the internet of a guy claiming to sound like Freddie Mercury and the video has 100,000+ views, I instantly assumed he was going to be terrible because this is the internet and people love terrible things and there s no such thing as good things. Turns out, I was the wrongest ever, and I apologize for my internet-racism. Behold, this person singing Queen s Somebody To Love as an audition for a contest that I have decided he has just won: To quote our pal @freshyill, Somebody get this guy a mustache. SECOND!

How I have gone my entire life without ever seeing the following Queen video for their 1991 song I m Going Slightly Mad is beyond me. It is AMAZING. It s like the 4 minute version of Ed Wood. And while the song itself certainly has more depressing undertones (this was the last video lead singer Freddie Mercury created before passing away from the AIDS virus at 45), it also featured Elton John in a Gorilla Suit and Mercury in a banana wig. So apologies if this video is old news to some of you, but as I had never seen it, and as my mind was officially blown, I just had to delivery it to those of you who had never witnessed its brilliance. Couldn t we all use a little more Freddie Mercury in our lives?
