Veronica Mars Movie Gets Release Date

The Veronica Mars movie has an official release date: March 14.

According to Entertainment Weekly, which broke the news, creator Rob Thomas was hoping to debut the film exactly a year after launching the movie's Kickstarter campaign, which garnered $2 million in just the first day.

Martin Starr, Ken Marino Join Veronica Mars Movie

Martin Starr and Ken Marino will reunite with their Party Down co-stars for the upcoming Veronica Mars movie, Rob Thomas announced on Kickstarter.

Starr, who was not in the original series, will join the cast as Lou "Cobb" Cobbler, another '09er returning for the school's 10-year reunion. Marino will reprise his role as private detective Vinnie Van Lowe.

New Girl's Max Greenfield to appear in Veronica Mars movie

"I'm so incredibly excited to work with Rob and Dan and Kristen and Enrico once again!" Starr said in the announcement. "Each one a treasure in a flesh casing."

Now here's a Heroes newcomer I can get behind — if only because it could offer Veronica Mars fans a very special reunion. Francis Capra, aka the toughie 'Ron (and Mars viewers) loved to hate, is joining the NBC hit this fall in the recurring role of Jesse.Who or what is Jesse?
