Logan Lerman, Emma Watson, Ezra Miller
It's shocking that it's taken so long for Stephen Chbosky's 1999 novel to hit the big screen, but that day is finally here! Perks of Being a Wallflower was released Friday.
Set in a 1991 Pittsburgh suburb, the coming-of-age story focuses on Charlie (Logan Lerman), a shy high school freshman struggling to fit in while hiding a secret from his past. Seniors Sam (Emma Watson) and her gay stepbrother Patrick (Ezra Miller) take the young outcast under their wings and help him find his place.
Emma Watson has traded in her wand (and British accent) to be a wallflower.
The Harry Potter alum — along with new co-stars Logan Lerman and Ezra Miller — introduced the first trailer for Perks of Being a Wallflower at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday night. (Move over, Ron and Harry!)
Based on the critically acclaimed novel by Stephen Chbosky, Perks stars...
Ezra Miller and Sarah Hyland
What do Pretty Little Liars, The Vampire Diaries, Twilight, The Lying Game and The Hunger Games have in common? They're all popular young-adult novels getting adapted for the screen.
Populazzi is the latest in the genre — Disney starlet Bella Thorne, among others, has been tweeting about it. The novel follows Cara, the new girl who, with the help of her best friend, attempts to climb the social ladder.
