Dancing With The Stars, Chelsie Hightower
Chelsie Hightower, who has danced with a rodeo cowboy (Ty Murray) and a snowboarder (Louie Vito), was surprised to be paired with The Bachelor (Jake Pavelka). The Dancing with the Stars pro tells TVGuide.com: "I think [his casting] surprised a lot of people." Also a surprise: Pavelka's performance on Week 1. The pair posted the fourth-highest score of the night — a 20 — for their Viennese waltz. But their second-week dance, the jive, is shaping up to be more of a challenge. Find out why the jive is so tough for Pavelka, who Hightower thinks is a dark horse, and what role she may play in the pilot's wedding to Vienna Girardi.

Tony Dovolani
Tony Dovolani was the only one in the dark. The Dancing with the Stars pro says he doesn't read casting rumors about the show, so the possibility of working with Kate Gosselin (a widely speculated pairing since they both live on the East Coast) never crossed his mind. "Everyone was thinking that except me!" he tells TVGuide.com. "I don't read rumors. If you do and set your heart on somebody and don't get them, or it turns out the person is not doing the show, then you're disappointed even if you get somebody great." And great is exactly what the mom of eight is, says Dovolani, a dad of three — whatever "haters" might think.

Dancing With The Stars, Derek Hough
Last season, few expected Derek Hough and Joanna Krupa to make it to the semifinals of Dancing with the Stars. It's a different story this time around, as Hough is paired with former Pussycat Dolls member Nicole Scherzinger. "I do think there's a little bit more pressure on me with everyone expecting Nicole to go far. That's OK," he tells TVGuide.com. "Last season was one of my favorite seasons because I had a great time. I had no expectations. I was just enjoying myself and that kind of came through. I'm going to try to retain that this season." See what else the Season 7 champ has to say about his new partner, why she's not a ringer and which cast member is a party animal.

Anna Trebunskaya, Dancing With The Stars
Dancing with the Stars pro Anna Trebunskaya hears the chatter about her partner, Olympic gold medalist Evan Lysacek, but she's not listening. "It kind of freaked me out at first because people were already talking about it, like, 'Well, he's going to win; he's definitely going to go far,'" she tells TVGuide.com. "But then I forgot about it because we can only try our best and the rest is out of our control. I'm just concentrating on our dances." Their rehearsals are going well, she says — except for the instances when she fears she will fly out the window. See why the 29-year-old thinks she'll take flight, why she likes working with athletes and who she's going to recruit to help out Lysacek.

Aiden Turner, Dancing With The Stars
Aiden Turner is kicking up his feet on Dancing with the Stars — and his back is feeling the pain. "Oh my back — in the middle on the right side, it just aches and kills," the former All My Children star tells TVGuide.com. "I think it's from these twists we're doing. Our dance is faster than anybody's. At one point, Edyta [Sliwinska, his partner] grabs me, I have to lean back and then she pulls me, and we do three or four moves and my back goes click-click-click." The pain is worth the gain, though, because "it's getting to the point where I'm a little more confident that I'm not going to suck," Turner says. See what else the 32-year-old British actor has to say about learning — and (sort of) choreographing — the cha-cha, what he won't do on the show and how frequently he'll hit the spray-tan booth.

Evan Lysacek
Is Dancing with the Stars' Mirrorball trophy more prestigious than an Olympic gold medal? "It's hard to say. Olympic gold has been my goal for my whole life," newly crowned Olympic champion Evan Lysacek tells TVGuide.com. "But the Mirrorball is very prestigious. I first came into this saying, 'I just want to have fun. I really want to learn to dance because I think it can help my skating.' But as I started rehearsing and the competitive fire is going, I want to win." History is on the figure skater's side: Fellow Olympic gold medalists Shawn Johnson, Apolo Anton Ohno and Kristi Yamaguchi have all won Dancing. Lysacek thinks he has his work cut out for him. "I'm not graceful at all, so it's going to be hard, but I'm ready to put in the time," he says. See what else he has to say about his Dancing experience so far, why he thought his partner would resent him and more.

Michelle Kwan
The Olympics still make Michelle Kwan nervous — for a different reason now.
"I always get nervous watching friends and people that I know skate," Kwan tells TVGuide.com. "I want them to do well, but it's fun and exciting to be in Vancouver as a spectator now. When I was competing, I saw pretty much the village, the rink and the practice rink. Or physical therapy. That was my extent of the Olympics. Now I get to see ...
