Eva Longoria by John Shearer/ WireImage.com

When Mark Cherry told TV Guide that Eva Longoria Parker knows how to throw a party, he wasn't kidding. The Desperate Housewives creator was just one of dozens of friends who came out to support Longoria Parker for the opening of her new restaurant, Beso, in Hollywood Thursday night. There for the food (created by Longoria Parker and chef Todd English) and festivities, presented by Hornitos Tequila, were Felicity Huffman and husband William H. Macy, Kim Kardashian, Lake Bell, Roselyn Sanchez with fiancé Eric Winter, Constance Marie, George Lopez, Dana Delany, Mario Lopez with girlfriend Karina Smirnoff, James Denton, Julie Benz, and Sheryl Crow. Missing was husband Tony Parker, who was away for a game. The Mexican-fusion restaurant is a passion project for Longoria Parker, who has a reputation for being a fierce cook and foodie. What makes her a good restaurateur? "She's a pig. She loves to eat!" said Huffman. "She can sew, too. We have to find something that girl can't do. It's s... read more

Adrian Grenier to Paparazzi: Today, I'm One of You

Adrian Grenier by Jeff Vespa/ WireImage.com

Stirring up so much confusion that the paps didn't know which way to shoot, Adrian Grenier joined them on Thursday to hunt down the likes of Eva Longoria, Mario Lopez and Brooke Shields. Ostensibly on the prowl for footage for his alleged, upcoming Untitled Paparazzi Documentary, Grenier got on the other side of the camera to join the throngs of photogs in West Hollywood. The scene, from the looks of clips on ET, was comical, and Grenier got laughs from Longoria and Shields. At one point, Grenier got serious with his temporary coworkers who were photographing him, saying, "You guys are distracting me. I'm trying to find celebrities." His doc, according to several databases, purports to "study the relationship between celebrities and the paparazzi and how they can't survive without each other." Paparazzi of course need their subjects, but could the celebs survive, really? More to the point, could you? — Anna Dimond read more

It was a Desperate Housewives reunion on the red carpet of Eva Longoria's new flick, Over Her Dead Body, in Hollywood Tuesday night as her television family came out to support her. Longoria, looking stunning in a dusty-rose J. Mendel cocktail dress, posed for photos with fellow Housewives Nicollette Sheridan, Felicity Huffman and Brenda Strong. Sheridan and Huffman also brought their own support in the forms of their other halves, Michael Bolton and William H. Macy. Longoria's costars in the film, Kali Rocha (aka Grey's Anatomy's Dr. Sydney Heron) and Jason Biggs, had big announcements to make to TV Guide. "I'm pregnant!" said a glowing Rocha, patting her barely there bump. She also mentioned that she will "absolutely" be coming back to Grey's in the future, noting, "I like that I was able to dump Patrick Dempsey['s Derek]. I enjoy that I get to bop in and out." Biggs, on the other hand, was glued to his date, actress Jenny Mollen, and for good reason: The two recently got engaged.... read more

Eva Longoria's Tattoo No. 6 Is a "Nine"

An ambigram of hubby Tony Parker’s jersey number on Eva Longoria's neck is but the latest body art adorning the Desperate Housewives star, who apparently wasn't kidding when she once said she's "addicted to tattoos." Longoria and Parker each have "wedding rings" tattooed on their left ring fingers, and Longoria has their wedding date ("VII-VII-MMVII") on the inside of her wrist (where it joined a blue star from The Little Prince). On her back, Eva boasts a rose (which she got at age 17, and now regrets) and a Celtic Cross. "A friend of mine is always saying your body is a notebook and I agree with her," Longoria has said. Sounds to us like she'll be taking even more notes. — N.F. MendozaPhoto Gallery: Check out other stars' tattoos! read more

We're letting God decide it".... Gwen Stefani, similarly, is shooting down an online report that she and hubby Gavin Rossdale are in a family way for a second time. Eva's Tony Sues Website for $40 Mil, Says He "Never Laid Eyes" on Mistress

Perhaps realizing that the statement he originally issued reeked of a nondenial that he cheated on bride Eva Longoria, Tony Parker has sued the gossip site that gave French model Alexandra Parresant a forum. "It never happened," says the lawsuit, which seeks $40 million in damages. "And X17 [Online] had to know that the story was false, or, at the very least, it had to have entertained serious doubts about the credibility of its supposed source." (Watch related video here.) The suit claims X17 never contacted the couple or their peeps before running with the tale, and refused to retract it after being told the claims were false."Tony adamantly and unconditionally denies ever having laid eyes on this woman, let alone having had an affair with her," Parker's lawyer told the AP on Wednesday. As for Paressant's story that she first fielded a pass from the NBA star at his own nuptials, "There were a lot of people at the wedding," says the lawyer. "Did they remember seeing her at the wedd... read more

Tony Parker and Eva Longoria by Maury Phillips/WireImage.com

Desperate Housewife Eva Longoria is standing by her man, even as a story makes the rounds that Tony Parker has been "double-dribbling" with a French model he met at his own wedding. In two of several MySpace messages cited by X17Online, Parker allegedly wrote to Paressant, "Are you coming or not? I would love to see you" and "Come; I'm at the Park Hyatt."Longoria's rep qualifies the allegations as "completely, 100 percent false and untrue," and claims, "This is not the first time [Paressant] has sued an athlete to gain public notoriety."In response to the gossip, Eva says in a statement to People, "Tony has been nothing short of the perfect husband," while Parker himself maintains, "I love my wife... and I have never been happier." read more

Striking Writers Whack at Eva Longoria Parker

Eva Longoria by Steve Granitz/WireImage.com

Desperate housewife Eva Longoria Parker took some flak on Tuesday for crossing picket lines to go to work — while a bevy of other TV stars, like Old Christine's Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Wanda Sykes, didn't. "I understand she is in a really tricky position, but it would be awfully nice if she'd said she wouldn't work today," the New York Daily News quotes Louis-Dreyfus as saying. "She's certainly in a financial position to be able to say that." Longoria at the end of the shoot day tried to make nice with striking scribes by delivering pizza and explaining, "We are done [filming available scripts] and we'll be on the lines supporting you." Alas, ELP's gesture was rebuffed with such chants as "No justice, no pizza!" and "This isn't the piece of pie we meant!" (Not quite on par with "Marcia's cross and so are we," but... ). — Ben KatnerNew to our Strike Watch blog: • Lost May Be Lost Until February 2009• Strike KOs Two and a Half Men, Six Others; Big Brother Fast-trac... read more
