Eva Birthistle Fast Facts:

Moved with her Catholic family from Ireland to Northern Ireland in 1988, during the time of the Troubles (Catholic-Protestant strife). She went to a Protestant school there and, as a Catholic, had to endure bullying, taunts and threats.
Honored with the Irish Film & Television Academy's 2004 Best Actress award for her work in Ae Fond Kiss; she won again in 2007 for Middletown.
Is a celebrity ambassador for the Prince's Trust.
Enjoys cooking Italian food.
