Amazon Picks Up Six Pilots to Series, Renews Alpha House

Amazon has ordered six pilots to series, including a drama from The X-Files creator Chris Carter, a half-hour comedy starring Malcolm McDowell and Bernadette Peters, and two children's programs. Additionally, Amazon has renewed Alpha House for a second season.

Amazon Releases New Set of Original Pilots

Amazon released a second set of original pilots Thursday, which viewers can watch for free through Amazon Prime Instant Video.

HBO Sets Premiere Date for Treme

HBO is heading back to New Orleans with the Season 2 premiere of Treme on Sunday, April 24.

Treme chronicles New Orleans three months after Hurricane Katrina as its citizens struggle to put their lives, and their city, back together. Among those citizens are a part-time DJ and jazz aficionado (Steve Zahn), a bar owner torn between staying in New Orleans or settling in Baton Rouge (Khandi Alexander) and trombonist Antoine Battiste (Wendell Pierce).
