Mega Buzz on Lost, Heroes, 90210, House, Supernatural & More!

Josh Holloway (Lost), Lisa Edelstein (House) and Shenae Grimes (90210)

Every week, senior editors Matt Webb Mitovich, Mickey O'Connor and Tim Molloy satisfy your need for TV scoop. Please send all questions to mega_scoop@tvguide.com.

I like Sawyer and I love Juliet, but I really need this Sawyer/Juliet thing to be over soon on Lost. — Claudia
MATT: I on the other hand have taken a shine to "Suliet," so it is with some glee that I tell you that there will be a bit more idyllic "playing of the house" as well as a little smooching! before the action-packed ramp-up to the May 13 season finale. It kind of makes you wonder to whom Kate might turn since Jack, I am hearing, is going to only become more unlikable.

Please bring Heroes' Daphne back.  She was a super hero, and her complex personality and fantastic look made her one of my favorites. Cordialea
TIM: Brea Grant's speedster may return in some capacity, but you'll have to accept that she is, in the words of imaginary flying partner Greg Grunberg ... read more

Bones Exclusive: Inside Zack's Killer Comeback!

Eric Millegan by Kwaku Alston/Fox

Sure, he was nabbed in the season finale for being, well, the apprentice of a serial killer. But don't scratch Zack from the Jeffersonian's team of crime solvers just yet. As series creator Hart Hanson told me a while back, Eric Millegan will continue to appear on Fox's Bones, even though his alter ego now is behind bars. David Boreanaz tells TVGuide.com, "Zack's not really going anywhere. We will see him again throughout Season 4, in certain circumstances."First up, Boreanaz says, is "an episode where [Zack escapes] and actually helps us solve something — and then I have to go put him back in prison, which was pretty funny. I'm sure some people are upset about [him being revealed as the Gormogon's assistant], but.... where Zack is right now benefits the show in some ways." Plus, Boreanaz says, the why and how of Zack's criminal leanings "will be explained a little bit deeper when Zack comes back."Bones kicks off Season 4 Wednesday at 8 pm/ET, with a two-hour jaunt to the U.K. ... read more

Exclusive: Bones Boss Responds to Finale "Zack-lash"

Eric Millegan and Emily Deschanel in Bones by Isabella Vosmikova/Fox

You grumbled, I did something about it. Taking note of the passionate reaction to the season-finale bombshell that Zack — Zack! — is the Gormogon's apprentice, I invited Bones creator Hart Hanson to share the rationale behind the reveal. Let me know if this soothes the sting at all.TVGuide.com: Between Bones and House, Fox was really out to shake up its viewers this Monday night, eh?Boy, that's for sure! Don't you think? Good lord!TVGuide.com: In assessing the Zack reveal, many of our readers are tossing around words such as "unforgivable," "manipulative," "cop-out," "illogical"....[Laughs] The first thing you do, of course, is be delighted they are tossing any words around. They're responding, which is what you want. The really bad response would have been silence. TVGuide.com: Right. As one reader noted, "what good TV does" is get people talking. And we certainly did that. There are a bunch of reasons why we did what we did, the most important being that we're going in... read more

Finale Fever: Bones, House and More

Robert Sean Leonard in House by Greg Gayne/Fox

As the season rushes to a close, so do the fates of many characters in one wrenching season finale after another. This is the time of year when terrible things tend to happen to terrific characters, and that was certainly the case on Fox’s Monday night shows.Starting with the best: House. Kristi Yamaguchi wasn’t the only one clocking a perfect score last night—yes, I played back Dancing With the Stars to come down off my emotional House high. House scored a “10!” (mimic Bruno’s fist pump) with this gripping two-part finale, which shockingly and movingly pulled the plug on the character of Amber, whom we will no longer refer to as Cutthroat You-Know-What. She stole Wilson’s heart, and ultimately ours, and Anne Dudek was magnificent throughout. When it was made clear that nothing could save her from the multiple traumas triggered by that bus crash that fractured House’s memories, painful goodbyes were in order for a truly memorable character. A Whodunit With a Funny Bone

Seeley Booth is a slut. There, I've said it. And so might you after this week's episode of Fox's Bones (Wednesdays at 8 pm/ET), one of the most enjoyable episodes yet this season on one of TV's more underrated procedurals. There is no justifiable reason why this show isn't doing better on Wednesdays, in one of the most undernourished time periods of the week. (The competition tonight includes three reality shows and CBS's plodding headscratcher Jericho, which follows last week's mega-hyped and well-sampled premiere with a ludicrous second episode in which Skeet Ulrich once again saves the day as ominous rain clouds threatening radioactive fallout loom on the horizon. Not exactly "there's no place like home" material.)Back to Bones, which most weeks manages the neat trick of delivering a grisly puzzle amid clever character intrigue laced with comedy involving FBI stud Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) and the science-geek "squints" led by the formidable Bones (Emily Deschanel). This week,... read more

Up Close with Bones' "Boy" Genius

Eric Millegan, Bones

When Fox's Bones returned from hiatus last Wednesday in its new 9 pm/ET, post-American Idol time slot, the sexy-spooky crime series earned its highest ratings yet. The bad news? It was trounced by the competition — but that's what happens when you're up against Lost and Veronica Mars. Bones' Eric Millegan, though, is taking it in stride. And why not? This small-screen newbie has enjoyed incredible luck, snagging the role of boy-genius assistant Zack but three weeks after arriving in Hollywood for his first pilot season. (Other shows he was eyed by include Threshold and Kitchen Confidential; both now RIP.) In keeping with his good fortune, Millegan is betting Bones will read more
