Daytime Emmy Awards: Michael Logan's Fearless Predictions

Gee, remember when the Daytime Emmys were presented before thousands of deliriously happy fans at Radio City Freakin' Music Hall in primetime during May sweeps and drew massive Nielsen ratings? Now they're on the Internet. Yep, the 41st Annual Daytime Emmys Awards — hosted by Kathy Griffin — will live stream on daytimeemmys.net on Sunday, June 22 (8 p.m./ET, 7 p.m./CT, 5 p.m./PT). What should we expect? So, dear soap stars, don't be offended if I didn't pick you. It means there's a damn good chance you'll win! Here we go... read more

Exclusive: Eric Martsolf and Galen Gering Strip for a Cause on Days of Our Lives

But let's get real here. When you launch your career on Passions — as both actors did — you probably don't have much dignity left!

Eric Marstolf Steps Into the Smallville Spotlight as Booster Gold

He's "the greatest hero you've never heard of." Unless you're a fan of DC Comics mythos, you probably aren't familiar with Booster Gold, a secondary character whose popularity is mainly confined to fanboy (and girl) circles. But after this week's episode of Smallville, non-comics fans are likely to be joining the Gold rush. Played with charming enthusiasm by guest star Eric Martsolf, Booster Gold is a fame-seeking pretty boy who seems as interested in publicity and corporate sponsorships as he is fighting crime. His mysterious arrival in Metropolis coincides with Clark (Tom Welling) struggling to adopt a more mild-mannered personality when not on superhero duty. TV Guide Magazine talked to Martsolf — currently steaming up afternoon TV as boozy, screwed up Brady Black on the NBC soap Days of Our Lives — about... read more

First Look: Booster Gold Rushes Into the Smallville Spotlight

Get ready, Clark Kent, there's a new golden boy in town. On April 22, Smallville introduces Booster Gold, "a glory-seeking showboat from the future," says Days of Our Lives star Eric Martsolf, who plays the DC Comics cult favorite. "The episode takes place in Booster's very early stages where he's at his conceited best, where he believes he can do whatever he wants. He's gonna stay for the photo op and bask in the glory of his heroic efforts."
