A Supernatural Spin-off Will Happen If "The Idea Is Right," Creator Says

All right, who sold their soul at a crossroads? I'm not angry, I just want to know who to blame for The CW's continued interest in producing a Supernatural spin-off.

Series creator Eric Kripke recently spoke to TV Line about potential future efforts to expand the world of Sam and Dean Winchester in the wake of last season's failed attempt to launch Supernatural: Bloodlines, which aired as a backdoor pilot but wasn't picked up to series. read more

Supernatural: A "Different" Demon Dean and No Series End in Sight

Expect a healthy dose of Demon Dean when Supernatural returns.

The CW drama, which comes back Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 9/8c, will pick up with Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) having become the thing he's always hated most: a demon. "We will stay with Demon Dean for more than one episode," series executive producer Jeremy Carver said at the Television Critics Association fall previews on Friday. "You'll see a different type of Demon Dean than you might expect."

The CW Boss Wants a New Supernatural Spin-Off, Talks Carrie Diaries Cancellation

The first attempt to spin off The CW's long-running drama Supernatural did not succeed, but network president Mark Pedowitz is game to try, try again.

"The Supernatural spin-off that came in, creatively, did not quite get to where we wanted it to go," Pedowitz told reporters at Television Critics' Association fall previews on Friday. "We have told... read more

Supernatural: Should Season 10 Be Its Last?

Most series have a hard time sustaining a high level of quality for more than three seasons, but Supernatural (Tuesdays, 9/8c, The CW) is closing in on double digits now. I have no doubt Jeremy Carver will... read more

Supernatural: Will God Return to Help the Winchesters?

Let's not sugarcoat it: Things on Supernatural are a mess right now. Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) have split up, there are no more prophets coming to lend a hand, and Earth is caught in the middle of full-on wars for control over Heaven and Hell.

Maybe it's time for some divine help.

During his time masquerading as The Prophet, Chuck (né God) rewarded those who had the bravery to defy his plan (Team Free Will FTW!). But he wasn't above stepping in to save his favorite creations when the situation got too dire, either. Yet as the lines between Heaven, Hell and Earth continue to blur, God is nowhere to be seen and rarely even discussed. So what's the deal?
