Gloucester, England-born Simon Pegg (Hot Fuzz) and Harold & Kumar's John Cho are boarding J.J. Abrams' Star Trek feature in the roles of engineering wizard/Romulan-ale enthusiast Montgomery Scott and Lt. Hikaru Sulu, says the Reporter. They join other future Enterprisers Zachary Quinto (as Spock), Zoe Saldana (Uhura) and Anton Yelchin (Chekov), while Eric Bana has been tapped to play the villain. I know what you're wondering: But who... has... the com? According to the trades, Chris Pine is in talks to play young Kirk. Just My Luck, indeed. Jean-Robert stepped up as the translator, and the tribe got a lot of useful information because of him. In his native Australia Saturday, Eric Bana slammed his beloved 1974 Ford XB Coupe into some trees during the Targa Tasmania rally. While he and his copilot emerged unscathed, the car was totaled. And what I suspect hurt the most was that, of 115 cars in the Outright Classic race, he'd only placed 53rd. That's gonna leave a mark. Monday's news was written by Ben Katner.
