Was Bones just a big tease?
Some 59 minutes before serving up a major twist regarding Booth's recuperation from brain-tumor surgery, the Bones season finale gave fans a taste of what they've hungered for — the partners-in-crimesolving canoodling in bed together.
Ah, but there was a catch, as had been telegraphed by producers in the weeks prior. The bedroom antics were ...

Move over Simon Cowell Booth and Brennan are doing their own kind of judging when they take on a music-biz homicide in tonights episode of Bones LAs open-mic nightsare very intense and really competitive explains executive producer Hart Hanson of the cases inspiration We thought Theres a good venue for Bones Then we thought we might as well hit up the Idol scene [for singers] So Idol fans should keep an eye out for Season 5s Ace Young and last years Brandon Rogers in guest spots as aspiring warblers as well as a little crooning from Emily Deschanels notoriously uptight Brennan She sings Girls Just Want to Have Fun laughs Hanson Its funny because Emily is a good singerand Brennan is notThankfully she still has her day job with Booth because Hanson hints that more than just the music is about to die down in DC The ending is pretty shocking Damian Holbrook

Why not start off a glorious spring week a week that continues the welcome rollout of shows returning from long strike hiatus with some positive thoughts? Starting with the return of Bones to Foxs schedule. For those keeping track in this confusing midseason, Mondays are now the new Tuesdays for Fox. And once House kicks back in with new episodes starting April 28 (a House repeat airs next Monday), Mondays will almost feel like the new Thursdays with so many choices on the suddenly overstuffed night, as Foxs first-rate drama combo faces ABCs blazing-hot Dancing with the Stars, CBS terrific comedy lineup and the ever-popular CSI: Miami, as well as a cult fave in the CWs returning Gossip Girl and NBCs ubiquitous Deal or No Deal. Whew. But back to Bones, one of TVs most purely enjoyable procedural crime dramas. Yes, there are icky remains to deal with (a body boiled in a sulfurous mud pit), but the fun of Bones is in the playful in...

David Boreanaz, Bones
Bones (Tuesdays, 8 pm/ET, Fox) star David Boreanaz talks with TV Guide about the kiss fans are dying for, the movie that took him home again and why he spends weekends with Emily Deschanel.
TV Guide: Now that you're a coproducer for Bones, where do you want to see the show go? David Boreanaz: I think where I'd like to see the show go and where the executives are taking it may be two different things. [Laughs] They're very creative and they're planning to continue the therapist angle — which is a great idea — as a way to help Booth and Brennan deal with their relationship.TV Guide: Which begs the question that everybody's asking: When are they going to get together? Boreanaz: The

9:30 am: One of my favorite Fox press-tour traditions lives on: snack-filled goody bags for everyone!9:36 am: Fox's VP of PR Joe Earley announces that this will be the "eco-friendliest TCA day" of them all. Screw the green crap, those recyclable goody bags contain peanut-butter pretzels! 9:37 am: Fox chairman Peter Liguori and newly elected president (and recently dethroned Peacock chief) Kevin Reilly take their seats on stage and jump right into the Q&A. 9:38 am: Drinking-game alert: Take a shot every time Liguori starts a sentence with one of the following: "First and foremost," "Look... " or "Again... "9:39 am: On making next season's president on 24 a woman, Liguori says "decisions are made consistently to always reinvigorate the franchise. [Producers] consistently go after bold ideas to keep the show fresh."9:40 am: Reilly, discussing his rapid move from NBC to Fox, says, "It didn't take a lot of convincing to realize this was going to be an incredible opportunity." 9:42 ...

In a unique broadcast/online integration, Bones has posted 18 MySpace profiles representing characters that appear in the Fox series' May 9 episode (directed by Emily Deschanel's Oscar-nominated cinematographer pop, Caleb). The pages feature blogs referencing the upcoming story line Homeland Security calls in Brennan and Booth to investigate potentially radioactive remains and will offer clues as to the victim and murderer. In this week's episode of Bones, we learn there's a community of "Brennanites," avid followers of Temperance "Bones" Brennan, that fictional triple-threat forensic anthropologist, crime-solver and best-selling mystery novelist. Add me to the fan base.As this second season has progressed, I've found myself getting more and more attached to this prickly "squint," her engagingly quirky lab mates and her FBI partner Seeley Booth. With clever writing, appealing casting and just enough of the "ick" factor — decomposed victims are the norm that helped put CSI on the map — Bones has slowly but surely become the most purely entertaining procedural crime drama on TV. (My top five, after Bones: TNT's The Closer, when it's on; the original and still champion of Thursdays CSI; and the twofer of Cold Case and Without a Trace, in part because the formula of these Sunday dramas invites a more emotional connection to the victims.)Having just watched this week and next week's Bones episod...

Eddie McClintock and Emily Deschanel, Bones
Dr. Temperance "Bones" Brennan can solve murders just by looking at victims' skeletons, but when it comes to affairs of the heart, she's clueless.
"Brennan has been abandoned by her father and her brother — the closest men in her life — and she can't let go of that," says Emily Deschanel, the plucky actress who plays the title character on Fox's Bones (Wednesdays at 8 pm/ET). "She's pretty much fearless in the rest of her life, but fear governs her relationships."
Fans of the show believe that her partner in crime-busting, FBI agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz), is her unacknowledged and unconsummated true love. But then along came Booth's old colleague, FBI agent Tim "Sully" Sullivan (
