Looking Back at Elizabeth Taylor's Guest Stint on General Hospital

She was the biggest star on the planet and could do what she damn well pleased — and that included taking a job on a daytime soap! It's been 33 years since Oscar winner Elizabeth Taylor stunned Hollywood by appearing on ABC's General Hospital as villainess Helena Cassadine, who campily crashed the wedding of Luke (Anthony Geary) and Laura (Genie Francis) and put a curse on them that lasts to this day.

Colin Farrell Opens Up About "Romantic Relationship" with Elizabeth Taylor

If you thought Colin Farrell and Britney Spears made a strange couple, wait until you hear this.

The actor opened up to Ellen DeGeneres on her show Monday about his "romantic relationship" with none other than Elizabeth Taylor.

Farrell met the legendary actress at Cedars Sinai Hospital in 2009, when he was there for the birth of his son Henry and she for getting a stent put in her heart.

"I said, 'Will you tell her I said hello? She probably won't know who I am,'" he said of running into her manager Tim Mendelsohn. "And they go, 'No, she knows who you are.' And I went, 'Wow, cool. Well, tell her I said hello and I wish her the best,' and they said, 'Will do.'"

Unable to shake Taylor from his mind, Farrell had his publicist send her flowers only to find out that Taylor shared a similar idea and sent him an orchid with a handwritten note.

Dominic West and Helena Bonham Carter Bring Burton and Taylor Back to Life

People who actually knew Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton never called them Liz and Dick. The late actors abhorred the tabloid shorthand. They nicknamed each other Lumpy (referring to her body) and Pockmark (referring to his face). Acquaintances addressed them as Richard and Elizabeth. Otherwise, it was Mr. Burton and Ms. Taylor, thank you.

7 TV Gigs Tailor-Made for Lindsay Lohan — Once She Leaves Rehab

With Lindsay Lohan starting a 90-day stint in rehab on Thursday, we're hoping that once she gets out in August, she can keep herself busy and gainfully employed with a return to TV.

Lohan's last TV appearance on pal Charlie Sheen's Anger Management in April was a modest success. She played a caricature of her public persona -- named Lindsay, of course -- who consults Charlie (Sheen) for anger counseling, complete with shtick references to her notorious personal life, including drugs (donut powder mistaken for cocaine) and court dates. Despite receiving a mixed chorus of jeers, the Anger Management gig got this endorsement from Newsday: "There was an ember of something that seemed totally lost in all the coverage, headlines and nonsense of the last few years: Lohan actually has some talent."
