Eli Roth Fast Facts:

Inspired in part by Ridley Scott's 1979 classic Alien, he shot more than 50 short films on his Super 8 camera as a child.
During college, worked as an online sex operator for Penthouse in order to finance his student films.
Worked as a production assistant on the 1997 Howard Stern biopic Private Parts and as a creator of short films for director David Lynch's Web site.
His debut feature, 2002's Cabin Fever, about a group of college kids who catch a flesh-eating disease, was inspired by his own experience of contracting an infection that caused the skin to peel off his face.
Was a curator, along with Roger Corman and John Landis, for the exhibition "Can't Look Away: The Lure of Horror Film" at Seattle's EMP museum.
Supports PETA and has appeared in a television PSA and print ads for the organization.
