Wahlberg, 39, appears in his boxing shorts and gloves to promote the film in which he plays Lowell, Mass., boxer Mickey Ward. Bale, who poses with him in the photo, plays Ward's older half-brother and trainer Dickie Eklund in the movie.

They are three of the 10 Days that Unexpectedly Changed America, as revisited in a History Channel series airing for five consecutive days starting Sunday at 9 pm/ET. To gain insight into this trip down memory lane, TVGuide.com spoke to acclaimed director Joe Berlinger (Metallica: Some Kind of Monster, Paradise Lost: The Child Murders at Robin Hood Hills), a coexecutive producer on the project who also helmed one of its installments.

Question: Help! Many years ago there was a TV program called Maverick, which was about two brothers, Bret and Bart. One was played by James Garner and the other by...? It's driving us nuts.
