Was this Wayne Newton's swan song? Wayne Newton, Cheryl Burke by Carol Kaelson/ABC
There are no words to describe the hotness that is Helio Castroneves! He's bold, he's sexy, he's suave and that smile makes me melt! Yum! I am 100% in his corner! He can dance, and he's going to be very tough to beat!Sabrina Bryan may have lost the top spot, but she still put on quite a show. She proved to be elegant as well as saucy! She has done well in both the latin and ballroom dances, and that will keep her at the top all the way to the final show.Mel B also proved that pop dancers can be elegant. I was surprised her quickstep was so smooth. She pulled it out! I would love to hang out with her. She cracked me up when she "strangled" Drew Lachey!Could it be? Marie Osmond in the top three? I didn't think she was technically better than those who placed below her, but she had a different vibe. A fun vibe! I found myself cheering for her and it took me by surprise! But Marie, the hair was no good! Was that a flower in there? I had no idea. Hair, bad. Dance, good! The 21 Club: this ...

Jane Seymour's still got it! Dancing With the Stars by Carol Kaelson/ABC
Episode Recap: "Premiere" (Sept. 24, 2007)Wow! Before the premiere of DWTS, I had no idea who Sabrina Bryan was but now I won't forget her! That was some cha-cha. The best ever on the show, according to Carrie Ann Inaba. I agree. This girl is the one to beat!If anyone can go toe-to-toe with Sabrina, it's Mel B. She looks fantastic and she can shake it too! Her energy is surprising, considering she has an infant at home! Speaking of infants, congratulations go to Samantha Harris on the birth of her baby girl! It is different without her, is it not? It surprises me to say it, but I miss her. Drew Lachey is a welcome addition as host, but the backstage interviews just aren't the same. But back to the dancing! I love Jennie Garth. Is it me, or is she more beautiful now than during her 90210 days? Once she finds her confidence, I think she has major potential. I am rooting for her all the way!Someone else to look out for is Jane Seymour. She is grace personified! But maybe that sh...

Drew Lachey by Steve Granitz/WireImage.com
Dancing with the Stars Season 2 champ Drew Lachey is staying in step, having signed on to host ABC's new midseason dance-off Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann. The show, to air this winter for a half-dozen episodes, has DWTS judges Tonioli and Inaba forming rival performance troupes that will face off in weekly song-and-dance battles. I'm rooting for the Jets, though I hear the Sharks could upset.Previously, the competition was called "Strategic Dance Occupation," but then Congress decided they weren't kidding any one.Auditions kick off Sept. 15 in Nashville. Cheryl Burke and Drew Lachey, Dancing with the Stars
Surprise! Tuesday night was the first time that a former Dancing with the Stars champion returned to the parquet floor. When Drew Lachey suddenly leaped off the stage in the midst of the pro's country-western dance number, the crowd went crazy. There he was, picking up his freestyle routine and throwing Cheryl Burke around as if they'd never stopped the kind of shake-your-tail-feather moves that won them the Season 2 crown.
Insiders say it's tough to get past winners like Kelly Monaco or Emmitt Smith back in their dance shoes because once a few weeks have passed — to say nothing of a few months or years — the flexibility, coordination and strength required to do these complicated dance routines is all but gone. The difference with Lachey is that he just came off the Dancing with the Stars national tour, so his conditioning hadn't slipped.
But Lachey aside, all the talk this night was about the women and how they're dropping like flies. Tal

Emmitt Smith, Dancing with the Stars
Never in my lifetime did I think I would be competing for a trophy in a ballroom-dancing competition. There are a lot of things I imagined myself doing after retiring from football, but I can safely say that this wasn't one of them.
I had been asked before to do the show, but the timing was never right. This season, Season 3, all the pieces of the puzzle fell into place, and most importantly, my wife, Pat, gave me her blessing to take part. I'm not sure if everyone realizes this, but the time commitment to give this show your all is enormous. In fact, Cheryl Burke had to relocate from Los Angeles and train with me in Dallas for six weeks before the show ever even hit the air. It was our version of training camp, something I understand quite well.
I was a little worried that Pat wouldn't love the idea of me spending so much time away from the

Cheryl Burke, Dancing with the Stars
If anyone had told me a year ago today that I would be standing on Stage 46 at the CBS studios vying for my second championship on ABC's Dancing with the Stars, I would have asked them what on earth they'd been smoking!
You can't imagine how exciting and what a whirlwind these last few weeks have been. Emmitt Smith and I have traveled a long road to get here — most of it via airplane! We were the only team that traveled to and from Los Angeles each week, back and forth from Emmitt's hometown of Dallas. (Not sure if you're aware, but he's a bit of a hero there, what with his three Super Bowl championships for the Cowboys and all.) I got the chance to experience the graciousness of Dallas' citizens, and let me tell you, when that city supports you, they really support you! But we were also

Is Dancing with the Stars' Season 1 winner, Kelly Monaco, among those fox-trotting to a venue near you? No, but Season 2 champs Drew Lachey and Cheryl Burke will join Joey McIntyre, Lisa Rinna, Joey Lawrence, Willa Ford and Harry Hamlin and their respective pro partners on a 38-city tour kicking off Dec. 19 in San Diego, and finishing Feb. 11 in Atlantic City, N.J. In related news, ABC has announced that Show Me the Money, a new quiz show hosted by William Shatner, will premiere Nov. 22 at 8 pm, replacing Dancing's results show.

Even after being told he was voted out, Jerry Springer was still cracking jokes: Thank you for having me. And thank you for letting me go home. Its that mixture of sincere humbleness and self-deprecating humor that Im going to miss most about Jerry. I think Tom Bergeron said it best when he called Jerry the heart and soul of this show. This season would not have been the same without him. He gave the show a sweet paternal subplot, a little age variety and some wry commentary much funnier commentary than Samantha Harris provides (could he possibly sub for her the remainder of the season? Just a suggestion). And in spite of his constant wisecracks, he didnt treat this competition merely as a joke he did try to learn the dances. While he sometimes fell short in terms of natural ability and technique, he did succeed in entertaining the crowd. Jerry, you will be missed.Speaking of people missed, MIA Season 1 professional champ Alec ...

Lisa Rinna may have something better to show for her Dancing with the Stars run than that ugly trophy Drew Lachey had to lug home. Sources at the ABC show tell the New York Post that the Soap Talk sexpot is stepping in as Tom Bergeron's cohost for Season 3, replacing Samantha Harris (who herself is rumored to be bound for Good Morning America).
