Drea de Matteo, Desperate Housewives
Drea de Matteo's addition to the cast of Desperate Housewives is somewhat of a cosmic punchline for the actress.
First of all, get this: She's a huge fan of the show. "For some reason, the real prissy homemakers appeal to me the most," she says, singling out Marcia Cross' Bree and Dana Delany's Katherine. "I'm obsessed with their wardrobes."

Plus, she remembers a time when she considered giving up acting altogether and wished she could just get a gig on a long-running TV show, and specifically mentioned Housewives. Lastly, when her longtime boyfriend, musician Shooter Jennings, proposed to de Matteo recently, the marriage-averse actress replied...

T.R. Knight (Grey's Anatomy), Greg Grunberg (Heroes) and Jeremy Davies (Lost)
Every week, senior editors Matt Webb Mitovich, Mickey O'Connor and Tim Molloy satisfy your need for TV scoop. Please send all questions to mega_scoop@tvguide.com.
Is there anything to report about the new season of Grey's Anatomy? — Jenny
MATT: I know there's been talk that Season 6 might pick up a few months after the nail-biting May finale, but sources tell me that's not the case. In fact, the Sept. 24 opener will find both Izzie and disfigured George still coding — and as anyone following the headlines can tell you, T.R. Knight isn't returning to the cast. Over the two-hour premiere, watch for the outcome of this traumatic scenario to weigh heavily on a lot of people — including at least one doctor whose reaction you may have taken for granted. (See related casting exclusive.)
Heroes' Greg Grunberg has hinted that Matt's super-powered son may not have gotten all his powers from daddy. Is Janice a hero, too? — Curtis
TIM: Maybe so, says ...

Drea de Matteo
Sopranos alumna Drea de Matteo is joining Desperate Housewives this season, and she's bringing a small mob of her own with her — in the form of a husband and a son.
De Matteo has been cast in a series regular role, an ABC rep confirms, ostensibly offsetting the loss of Nicollette Sheridan's Edie, who perished toward the end of Season 5. De Matteo's Bronx-bred Wisteria Lane newcomer arrives in town with a husband and 19-year-old son in tow.

Cote de Pablo (NCIS), Jessica Lowndes (90210) and Jennifer Love Hewitt (Ghost Whisperer)
Senior editors Matt Webb Mitovich and Mickey O'Connor answer your questions. As always, you may direct your own spoilery needs to mega_scoop@tvguide.com.
Is Ziva's father going to make a return on NCIS this season? — Morgan
Matt: My moles at the CBS hit may be tight-lipped about the Ziva-Tony romance (a very popular topic in the Buzz box), but on this matter they did let slip some intel: Eli David, played by Michael "What a Feeling" Nouri, will be seen again, and possibly before the end of this season.
The gay character on 90210 has to be the guy who starred in the musical with Annie. He's tall, handsome, well-dressed and —mannered, and he loves musical theater ... hello! — Jason
I'm thinking that it's Ty, Annie's Spring Awakening costar. We haven't seen him in forever. — Kathryn
Mickey: Rampant trading in gay stereotypes aside, this is an educated guess. But if Ty does come out of the closet ...

Katey Sagal in Sons of Anarchy by Ray Mickshaw/FX
Cheers to Sons of Anarchy for revving up its female roles. You wouldn't expect a show about an biker gang to be a good vehicle for actresses, but FX's new drama features three strong women: a seriously deglamorized, post-Sopranos Drea De Matteo as a pregnant meth-head; Maggie Siff (so good as Don Draper's businesswoman lover on Mad Men) as a doctor who can't put her biker-chick past behind her; and Katey Sagal (creator Kurt Sutter's real-life wife), who shines as the Sons' Machiavellian matriarch. Peg Bundy would be so proud. Share your own raves and rants about other shows on the Reader Cheers & Jeers discussion board. We may feature your Cheer or Jeer on TVGuide.com or in TV Guide magazine!

TVShowsOnDVD will have a link to that once it's available. The release date given on Monday was May 13th, but since then Warner - Canada has issued a date correction notice. Lindsay Lohan by Steve Granitz/WireImage.com
Lindsay Lohan and Riley Giles, a 25-year-old snowboarder (is that an occupation?) she met during her summer rehab-cation, have called it quits. As a source tells People, "She is concentrating on her life and her career".... Sopranos alumna Drea de Matteo gave birth to her and boyfriend Shooter Jennings' first child together, a girl named Alabama Gypsyrose, on Wednesday, says E!.... A bit late on this, but for the record: Brandon Routh and Supersweetie Courtney Ford tied the knot last Saturday in Santa Barbara. The best part? All the wedding ring cost him was a lump of coal.

Shooter Jennings, Giants
His terrific new album, The Wolf, may address his outsider status in country music, but country-rock rebel Shooter Jennings has been anything but a loner of late. He’s about to start a family with his girlfriend of six years, Sopranos actress Drea de Matteo; he’s thrilling crowds with a kickass live show on his current tour; and on Saturday night, he joins a host of rowdy friends (including Kid Rock, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Steven Tyler) to honor the music of Hank Williams Jr. on Giants (9 pm/ET on CMT), a raucous two-hour salute to the man known as Bocephus. TVGuide.com spoke to the 28-year-o
