And the winners (and losers) are...

Eva Longoria knows what it's like to be let down by the finale of one of her favorite TV
series. Nearly two years after Lost signed off, she's still grumbling that she wasn't given "a better explanation of what the f--- [the island] was. I wasn't keen on The Sopranos finale, either. All that investment and this is it?"

Lynette (Felicity Huffman) has been focused on one goal and one goal only since Mike's untimely death earlier this season on Desperate Housewives — winning Tom (Doug Savant) back.

Desperate Housewives
Desperate Housewives doesn't wrap its eight-year run until May, but the grim reaper will be paying an early visit in March when a "major character" will die. As first reported by Entertainment Weekly, the passing will be "pivotal" to the rest of the season.
So which character is being laid to rest? We weigh the pros and cons for killing off each of the housewives and their house husbands in order from most likely to eat it to least:
1. Mike (James Denton)
Why He Will Die: Producers haven't really known what to do with Mike in recent years so death would finally give him purpose and send Susan on an intriguing new path. And it makes narrative sense, too: Mike made himself known to the bad guys when he convinced Ben not to borrow...

Felicity Huffman and Doug Savant
Will one of Wisteria Lane's most beloved couples be able to reconcile before time runs out? For seven seasons of Desperate Housewives, Lynette (Felicity Huffman) and Tom Scavo (Doug Savant) were one of the show's few stable relationships. While Gaby and Carlos, and Susan and Mike were busy breaking up and getting back together, and Bree had her hands full bedding half the block, the Scavos always seemed to have it together.
But after separating at the beginning of the season, things aren't looking good. "We're worried," Huffman tells TVGuide.com. "We just keep getting farther and farther apart."
How will Desperate Housewives end? Marc Cherry teases a special cameo
That gap is only going to widen on this Sunday's episode, airing at 9/8c on ABC, when Lynette starts dating again. Tom already has...

Desperate Housewives
The four that started it all are coming back together for the final season of Desperate Housewives. But instead of a Wisteria Lane block party, it's a dead body that will pull Susan, Lynette, Bree and Gaby into each other's lives in Season 8. "We're bonded together by this secret, and that really tests all of our friendships, but it also brings us closer together," Eva Longoria tells TVGuide.com. "Every episode is a roller coaster: one minute, we're mad at each other and then we're not mad at each other. One minute, we're together and we're the four musketeers, and then we're not."
Fall Preview: Get scoop on your favorite returning shows
This deep, dark secret is the fact that Carlos killed Gaby's abusive step-father in the season finale. Susan, Lynette and Bree walked in just in time to see the dead body and the five longtime neighbors agreed to cover-up Carlos' big oops. But how will this secret affect their love lives? Will Gaby and Carlos be able to handle the pressure? Will Bree be able to keep the murder hidden from her detective boyfriend? Is there still hope for Lynette and...
