It's been 21 years since Knots Landing went off the air but it's still paying off for Donna Mills. The actress, who played cul-de-sac baddie Abby Ewing on the long-running primetime soap, has joined ABC's General Hospital as yet another ritzy firestarter, Madeline Reeves. Mills hit the air March 14 for a story arc scheduled to run about two months.
Lauren Graham, Jason Ritter
It's another ridiculously busy night of TV, with premieres and finales jousting for attention amid other distractions. It's just as well that CBS' top-rated lineup is taking a breather with repeats.
First, the farewells, going head to head. Once again, NBC sends away its reliably tear-jerking Parenthood (10/9c) earlier in the TV year than we'd like, but a limited run of 15 episodes beats the alternative. Shows like this don't tend to repeat well, and if a shorter run makes business sense — while freeing up the time period in the back half of the season for something else (in this case, a retooled Smash in two weeks) — then so be it. This fourth season has been Parenthood's strongest and most emotionally charged to date, especially in the storyline involving Kristina's breast cancer ordeal, providing Monica Potter and Peter Krause (as husband Adam) with their strongest dramatic material to date. Emmy voters, wake up and take note.

As Ive been quite verbal about in the past I was a huge Knots Landing fan So after reading about this episode and then seeing the coming attractions last week I was needless to say excited I mean how could I not be Donna Mills was portraying a rich Beverly Hills socialite named Lulu Grandiron and she and her friends married wealthy high-powered execs divorced them and then took all their money And adding to a true Knots fans delight one of those friends Annette was played by Joan Van Ark All they needed was Michele Lee and it wouldve been more of a complete set But Im thinking that Michele was asked but declined since the four rich women were all plastic surgery fanatics and maybe Michele didnt want to admit shes had work done Those two other roles were filled by women who co-starred on other prime-time soaps in the 80s Shari Belafonte shes dropped the Harper from Hotel played Catherine in the really bad wig and Deborah Shelton from Dallas was Marla wi
Knots Landing Reunion: Together AgainI'll say it right away: Knots Landing is my all-time favorite show. So you know I was totally looking forward to this two-hour reunion of the cast of the third-longest-running hourlong drama, which ran from '79 to '93. For the most part, I was not disappointed.
What I loved: - The quick recap of all 14 seasons using several of the actors narrating was hilarious and well written. - Speaking of hilarious — shut up that Joan Van Ark and Ted Shackelford did a Wonder Woman episode right before Knots began. Joan calling Ted's costume a big "silver co
