Illuminata -- John Turturro directs this farce about a would-be theatrical production in turn-of-the-century New York. Tuturro is the struggling playwright, Christopher Walken is the gay theater critic, and Susan Sarandon is the desperate actress of dubious morals.

High Spirits -- Peter Plunkett, unable to make the payments on a castle in Ireland, decides to advertise the castle as haunted to attract gullible American tourists. Among those who visit is Jack, a romantic desperate to rekindle the romance with his wife, Sharon. Peter and his staff fake the haunting, but soon awake the real ghosts of the castle, including a female ghost who falls in love with Jack.

Agent Tom Brindle (Hutton) is called to Barcelona, Spain to track down the notorious serial killer known as Pygmalion, who kills his victims then positions them in macabre displays. His team uses DNA to track down and arrest Marco Soler, a young volatile soldier, only to find that Marco has an air-tight alibi. While investigating, he finds that Marco has a monozygotic twin with identical DNA only a decade apart in age. With the help of the clinical psychologist Elena, they decide to build a psychological and physiological profile of the serial killer using his twin brother, Marco. Agent Brindle is closing in on the killer but the killer is also closing in on him. The hunter becomes the hunted as Pygmalion also discovers that he has a twin brother and begins to stalk the investigative team. For Agent Tom Brindle, the only way to finally catch the killer is to risk everything, and everyone, he holds dear.

The final film of legendary director John Huston was based on the closing story of James Joyce's Dubliners. Anjelica Huston is top-billed as Gretta Conroy, the niece by marriage of turn-of-century Irish spinsters Kate Morkan and Julia Morkan. At the home of these two curious ladies, Gretta is prodded into remembering her long-dead lover. She tearfully reveals to her husband that the deceased boy may well have died on her behalf.
