Billy Crystal will host the Oscars for a ninth time, the comedian announced Thursday.

"Am doing the Oscars so the young woman in the pharmacy will stop asking my name when I pick up my prescriptions," Crystal tweeted. "Looking forward to the show."

Blockbuster director Brett Ratner just got his most Hollywood gig yet: He's been tapped to produce the 84th Academy Awards telecast. The first-time Oscars-helmer will be joined by Don Mischer, who's been producing televised specials for decades, including last year's Oscars.
