In this edition of 'Fired Up', FOX NFL Sunday's Terry Bradshaw pays tribute to the late Don Meredith.

Nik Wallenda (of the famous Flying Wallendas) performed a stunt on The Today Show this morning that was more than just a reminder to David Blaine that he sucks, it was absolutely terrifying. His idea was to walk a high wire 135 feet in the air, AND ride a bicycle across the same high wire (breaking a world record), WITH NO NETS. So throughout the show this morning, they kept leading up to it and telling us about this amazing event that was about to happen. Meredith and Matt repeatedly reminded us that this stunt was NOT their idea and that they will have absolutely NO blood on their hands should Nik die during the stunt. Meanwhile, they do a segment about daredevils in general, and show footage of Nik s grandfather FALLING TO HIS DEATH doing a similar stunt. So, finally, when the guy does his trick, Matt, Meredith, and Ann are virtually about the sh*t their pants. The best part is definitely when he s about to finish the bicycle trick, and Matt is like go go go go go do not go backwards do not go backwards, like as if he was about to say oh Jesus oh Jesus please don t die please don t die under my watch I am getting way to old for this sh*t!!!!

Dec. 6: Quarterback and commentator Don Meredith, the man who helped make Monday night special for millions of people, died Monday. He was 72. NBC's Mike Taibbi reports.

Robert A. Leffingwell (Henry Fonda) is nominated to be Secretary of State of the United States. Leffingwell has been hand-picked by a second-term President (Franchot Tone), who is seriously ill. The Senate, using its advise and consent powers, must either approve or deny the appointment. Under the watchful eye of Vice President Harley Hudson (Lew Ayres), there is a heated battle on the Senate floor between supporters and opponents of the President. The senators fighting it out in public and in private include the veteran Dixiecrat-like Senator Seabright Cooley (Charles Laughton) of South Carolina, who despises Leffingwell for personal as well as political reasons, and Majority Leader Senator Bob Munson (Walter Pidgeon) of Michigan, the president's strongest ally. A committee appointed to assess the nominee is headed by freshman Utah Senator Brigham Anderson (Don Murray), who finds himself blackmailed by Wyoming Senator Fred Van Ackerman (George Grizzard). To neutralize Anderson, who wants Leffingwell's name to be withdrawn, Van Ackerman threatens to dredge up a homosexual incident in Anderson's past, which results in Anderson's suicide. Herbert Gelman (Burgess Meredith) is a witness who testifies that Leffingwell has a Communist past.
