Dolvett Quince

Week 17 was the contestants last week on the ranch!  Kim and Conda made it to the finale and all this season's eliminated players returned to compete for the last slot.  After their weigh-in, seven of the eliminated players who had lost the most percentage of body fat proceeded to the first part of the challenge, a hundred yard dash.  Following the race was a calorie puzzle and lastly an endurance challenge with the remaining three: Lauren, Jeremy, and Mike.  Jeremy ultimately won and solidified his spot as the third and last finalist!

So this past Tuesday we all got an invite to the White House!  The remaining six contestants and their family got the opportunity of a lifetime to meet the First Lady.  Mrs. Obama greeted everyone with such warmth and grace.  I could tell she was a loyal  fan of The Biggest Loser.  She knew all the contestant's names and specific details that were only revealed on the show.  It was such an honor to meet her, and give the First Lady a Biggest Loser workout.

Week 14 hosted everyone's favorite theme...makeover week! Before the contestants learned it was makeover week they had a sling shot challenge. The winner would receive a one pound advantage but the loser would gain a one-pound disadvantage. Buddy finally won a prize but unfortunately Conda lost.

The contestants received a surprising announcement from none other than the First Lady herself!  Yes, the First Lady of the United States of America invited everyone to reveal their new and improved looks in Washington DC at the White House. I was completely humbled and honored at the opportunity to go to the White House and meet Mrs. Obama.

Michelle Obama Works Out on The Biggest Loser

Michelle Obama

The Biggest Loser has all the elements of a covert operation: contestants train at a secret location under close supervision until they're lean, mean machines. The only thing missing has been Secret Service — until now. For the Season 13 makeover episode — split into two parts, airing tonight and next Tuesday, April 10 — the competitors aren't just rewarded with new haircuts, snazzy clothes and a chance to see their families: they also get to visit Michelle Obama at the White House.

The excuse for Week 12 was "I can't lose weight on vacation" and so of course we had to put it to the test....in Hawaii!! The contestants were super excited to hear that we were all going to the paradise island of Oahu. I was absolutely thrilled too as I love the beach! However, I knew it was going to be necessary for me to keep a close watch on the players as I anticipated much leisure and relaxation.

This episode's excuse was "I don't believe in myself." This is an excuse that the majority of contestants have been guilty of as well as a lot of viewers.  Throughout the season, we have seen so many players getting discouraged simply because they didn't believe they could do something.  It's just as hard for the trainers and the contestants loved ones to see their potential when they don't see it in themselves.  You try everything in your power to expose their strengths and make them a believer.  Most of the time I succeed and there have been moments where their fear and self-doubt got the best of them. Despite obstacles I never stop fighting and you shouldn't either!

The Biggest Loser's Dolvett Quince Blogs Week 10

We've already reached Week 10 this season and both teams have each won five weigh-ins so far! The theme of the week was "I can't get out of my comfort zone." The teams had to switch trainers and the winning team from the weigh-in would be the only team voting during elimination round, deciding who goes home from the losing team! Once I saw the Black Team (BT) approaching me in the gym, I knew something was up. When they told me I was to train them I was genuinely excited and ready to get started but their faces gave a different reaction. I could tell they were really apprehensive, scared, and uncomfortable but then again that was the intention. It's always great to work with a trainer that you trust and connect with but don't be afraid to change it up sometimes.  You should welcome the challenge because it's another way to shock the body and prevent you from reaching plateaus. read more

This week's Biggest Loser episode opened with my Red Team (RT) joining the Black Team (BT) in the elimination room after the BT sent Daphne home. They all were told that they would be heading home the following day for 18 days and then return for a weigh-in! I thought this was the perfect time to put their habits to the test. read more

Episode 8 was The Biggest Loser's 200th episode - Congrats to everyone involved with the show!

This week the show was based on the excuse: "I lack self-control." Self-control is powerful and sadly we saw the perfect example of someone losing it.

"I'll wait until after the holidays to lose weight?"  News flash: NO YOU WON'T! There is never a wrong time to start getting healthy so begin right now! Take it one day, one goal at a time and I promise you that your life will change for the better.

Week 7 was Valentine-themed and therefore the trainers were asked to pick one player from our teams to send home for the week and the trainers would also follow. The catch, of course, was that only that player's weight would count for their entire team at weigh-in. I chose Conda from my Red Team (RT) and the Black Team's Daphne was picked by Bob. read more
