RIP, Mr. Whipple: Charmin Icon Dead at 91

Dick Wilson, who over the course of 21 years appeared in more than 500 Charmin bathroom tissue commercials as Mr. George Whipple, died Monday of natural causes. He was 91. In addition to the ad campaign in which his grocer scolded shoppers with, "Please, don't squeeze the Charmin" (all the while being a closeted squeezer himself), Wilson played a drunk on several episodes of Bewitched and various characters on Hogan's Heroes and The Bob Newhart Show. read full article
