The Last Hurrah is a comedy filmed in a single continuous shot. Set at a graduation party in Los Angeles, an eclectic group of brainy philosophy students, train-hopping hippies, aspiring prophets and drug-addled hipsters come together for one wild night. At the eye of the storm are three best friends, all with the same problem - women. Jason can't get enough of them, Steve can't let go of the one he's got and Will can't understand them at all. The brainy grad students will have to work through their issues fast, because tonight's house party is their last crack at the women of the philosophy department. In the spirit of Richard Linklater and Woody Allen, The Last Hurrah is a smart, witty, ensemble-driven comedy that wonders if the over examined life is really worth living.

Dana Andrews turns in a delightfully tough performance as a cowboy wrongly accused of killing his former fiancee's brother. An angry lynch mob strings him up, but rather than killing him, they let him loose to prove his innocence. Noose-scarred, he turns coldblooded and hunts down the real killer.

An ex-Confederate Army officer, John Parrish (Glenn Ford, 3:10 to Yuma, 1957), plans to sell up to nearby Anchor Ranch and move east with his fiancée, but the low price offered by Anchor's crippled owner, Lee Wilkenson (Edward G. Robinson, Mackenna's Gold), and the outfit's bullyboy tactics make him think again. When one of his ranch hands is murdered, he decides to stay and fight, utilizing his war experience. Meanwhile, all is not well at Anchor Ranch where the owner's wife, Martha (Barbara Stanwyck, T.V.'s The Big Valley), has been carrying on for years with her husband's brother who, in turn, keeps a local Mexican sweetie in town.
