Newly engaged couple Lucia and Marcus learn the hard way that the path to saying "I do" can be rife with familial strife. When they return from college and suddenly announce their marriage plans, Lucia and Marcus soon discover that their fathers - two highly competitive, over-the-top egos - can wreak a major amount of havoc on their special day. With only weeks to plan their wedding, Lucia and Marcus will discover the true meaning of love and find there is truth to the saying - that when you marry someone, you marry their entire family!
The weeks leading up to a young couple's wedding is comic and stressful, especially as their respective fathers (Whitaker and Mencia) try to lay to rest their feud.
Nick Marshall (Mel Gibson), an advertising executive and swinging bachelor accidentally stumbles upon the power to hear what women are thinking. Nick decides to use this newfound power to sabotage his boss Darcy (Helen Hunt) in order to further his own career. Things don't go exactly as planned when Nick falls in love with Darcy – creating conflict between his desire to get ahead and his inner voice telling him to follow his heart.
When a chauvinistic businessman gains the power to hear what women around him are actually thinking, he finds himself in a new world of possibilities.
"What Women Want" is a romantic comedy based on the 2000 Hollywood rom-com of the same name, starring Mel Gibson and Helen Hunt. Revolving around a chauvinistic executive Fred (Andy Lau) who gains the ability to hear what women are really thinking - including his workplace rival, an aggressive executive Ellen (Gong Li). Using his newfound ability to his advantage, he becomes an expert on female psychology - and romance blossoms.
Chauvinistic advertising executive Zigang Sun (pop superstar Andy Lau, Infernal Affairs) is not known as a good husband, a good father or a good son. None of this bothers Zigang, since he's focused entirely on his expected promotion to creative director. That opportunity disappears, however, when his firm instead hires a female executive from a rival agency, Yilong Li (Gong Li, Miami Vice, Memoirs of a Geisha), to develop campaigns targeted toward women. When Zigang attempts to understand the opposite sex to compete with Yilong, a comic twist of fate gives him the ability to hear what women are thinking. While his new power makes him an expert on women and helps advance his career, it also leads him toward a relationship with his once-office-rival Yilong, and changes his outlook on what's important in life and love.
