Hal Kanter, the Emmy-winning comedy writer behind the groundbreaking series Julia, has died. He was 92.
Kanter died Sunday of complications from pneumonia at California's Encino Hospital, his daughter, Donna Kanter, told the Los Angeles Times.

Diahann Carroll has been added to the cast of White Collar, the USA Network pilot starring Tim DeKay and Matthew Bomer, TVGuide.com has learned. DeKay (Carnivale) plays an FBI agent, and Bomer (Traveler) is a top-shelf con man recruited by the feds to help bust similarly crafty criminals.
