The Event Episode Recap: "A Matter of Life and Death"

On Monday's episode of The Event, Sean and Collier learned more about Vicky's complicated identity. Leila escaped, but she's not safe yet. The White House's interrogation of Sophia was made more urgent when a biological threat to the confused, agitated — and recently reanimated — passengers of Avian 514 surfaced. It also became clear that Carter and Vicky have a boss, who is quite possibly played by Hal Holbrook. Menacing!

Reader's Cheer of the Week: Jericho's Secret Weapon

D.B. Sweeney on Jericho by Robert Voets/CBS

Posted by gfrisch...Cheers to D.B. Sweeney's creepy performance as the scowling Ravenwood town administrator Goetz on Jericho. Sweeney made a name playing young, misguided but mostly charming characters, but he's reinvented himself as a bureaucrat who will stop at nothing to tighten his totalitarian grip on the town of Jericho. And I want one of those cool Ravenwood polo shirts!• For more Cheers & Jeers, check out the new vodcast.• Share your own raves and rants about other shows on the Reader Cheers & Jeers discussion board.• We may feature your Cheer or Jeer on TVGuide.com or in TV Guide magazine! read more

We open with a scene of Emily and Roger — the first look at Roger — in their bedroom, and then Emily wakes up from her dream turned nightmare. She's not the only one awake in the middle of the night. Everyone's up in the Richmond house because the mercenaries from Rogue River — named Ravenwood — are outside their door, masking themselves as people who want to help. They even use Eric's name to try to warm Stanley to their presence, but he's not convinced and wards them off, rifle in hand. The next morning, Jake asks Eric about his status with April, but the conversation is cut short when Stanley, Bonnie and Mimi show up at the Green house, asking about Ravenwood. They bring this to the officers' attention, including Hawkins and Gray Anderson. They decide to load up on any explosives they have, and they advise Stanley to leave his farm and come into town for safe measure.A more positive change this morning is Johnston's improving state of health, since the last tim... read more

Fourteen years later, ABC Family's The Cutting Edge 2: Going for the Gold (premiering Sunday at 7 pm/ET, following an airing of the original) finds Kate and Doug's way-older-than-14-(but-deal-with-it) daughter, Jackie, lamenting her own shattered ice dreams, only to eventually join with Alex, an in-line skater, to seek Winter Games glory. Playing young Ms. Dorsey in this follow-up is Christy Carlson Romano, with whom TVGuide.com traded Qs and As. TVGuide.com: So you're w read more
