Officers Malloy (Martin Milner) and Reed (Kent McCord) answer a "child left alone" call and uncover a case involving child neglect, in "He -- He Was Trying to Kill Me, -- Log 12" this week's episode of ADAM 12. Charlie Phelps (Dawn Lyn--cg), 6 year-old girl with a boy's name, welcome the officers to her apartment where the mother has not been home in three days, and even lets them take a peek at her charge kept in the bathroom. Charlie's mother (Bambi Allen) and father (Jim Driskill) are apprehended later at the apartment embroiled in a bitter battle over the use of an electric cord in disciplining Charlie. The cast includes Hampton Fancher as Bartell, friend of Mrs. Phelps, Conny Van Dyke as Abbie Jenks, Charlie's neighbor, Sydney Soule as Policewoman Owens, Chuck Bowman as Officer Rogers and Ron Pinkard as a police photographer. watch
