David Zayas Fast Facts:

Born in Puerto Rico, but raised in the Bronx.
Joined the Air Force after high school; later began a career as a police officer in New York City.
A member of the LAByrinth Theatre Company since its inception in 1992.
In April 2008, performed in the studio's production of The Little Flower of East Orange directed by Phillip Seymour Hoffman.
Won his first regular series role on the short-lived 2000 police drama The Beat, then moved on to more notable television parts on the HBO prison drama Oz and Showtime's crime thriller Dexter.
