CSI: NY returns on a new night with a new face
"I had come from all those relationship shows, where I knew everything about love and breaking up and raising children. And I had to learn really fast about murder and bludgeoning and dismembering and gunshots and all this bloody gore," Ward tells TVGuide.com with a laugh. "So it was really trial by fire. The first couple weeks... I didn't know what planet I had dropped onto, but now I am just loving it. I'm having a blast."

Ever since JAG signed off nearly six years ago, one of the most frequent topics in my mailbag is the hope that David James Elliott (last seen in ABC's short-lived Scoundrels last summer) will find his way back to CBS. For at least one week, his fans get their wish, as Elliott guests as the FBI agent ex-husband of Sela Ward's Jo. (Do we sense a triangle brewing?) In the case of the week, a guy dressed as a clown shoots a bakery owner, and the investigation reveals a skeleton in Det. Flack's past. (Presumably not wearing floppy shoes.)

ADAM: As you've no doubt heard, Brennan's investigation of a workaholic's death forces her to examine her own nonexistent personal life — and to take some bold action. What's the result? "We see Brennan's feelings about [Booth and Hannah] more," executive producer Stephen Nathan says. "She's trying to make the best of it, but it's difficult for her." Strangely, Brennan's big move may get more a reaction from Hannah than Booth. "The relationship that these two women forge is going to determine, to a large extent, what happens between Booth and Brennan," Nathan says.
