The Vampire Diaries is finally back from a way-too-long summer hiatus and the premiere was filled with naked Damon, ripper Stefan, supernatural sex and a sad birthday girl. Here are some of the major moments from the start of Season 3.
Bearded Simon Camden- 7th Heaven's (grown-up) David Gallagher guest-starred as Ray Sutton, a werewolf that Klaus and Stefan find in Tennessee. Klaus revealed his plan to have Ray lead them to his wolf pack so that he can breed a bunch of hybrid were-vamps like himself.
Former 7th Heaven star David Gallagher will make a supernatural return to The CW.
The actor will play a werewolf named Ray Sutton on the first two episodes of The Vampire Diaries this fall, TVLine reports. And since nothing runs smoothly in the fang-centric drama, he'll of course encounter trouble in the form of Klaus (Joseph Morgan) while in Tennessee. Only two episodes? Let's hope he doesn't meet an untimely end!
If you've watched 7th Heaven over its 11-season run — or even caught a glimpse of one episode — you know that the Camdens aren't just about achieving family harmony but about helping the entire community that surrounds them. This week's new episode (Sunday at 8 pm/ET, on the CW) is no exception. In fact, it covers a pressing issue that we've been hearing about every day: Darfur — a topic so devastating, it's a real departure from the common troubles we usually see on this family drama. Filled with information about the crisis abroad, executive producer Brenda Hampton spoke with TVGuide.com about the motivation behind this episode, 7th Heaven's again-uncertain fate, and saying goodbye to some of our favorite Camdens.

Question: Any update on whether Mackenzie Rosman and/or David Gallagher are coming back to 7th Heaven?
Answer: Still nothing new to report. Here's something else, though. As you know, Haylie Duff is currently appearing on Broadway in Hairspray. Well, the ever-accommodating producers over at 7th Heaven shelled out beaucoup bucks to construct a set in New York so Haylie could shoot her scenes there without having to fly to Los Angeles on her one day off a week.
Question: Are David Gallagher (Simon) and Mackenzie Rosman (Ruthie) really leaving 7th Heaven? What's the latest?!?
Answer: The latest is that Brenda Hampton is still trying to get them to change their minds. But as of now, they're done.
