After a tough couple of months, David Duchovny has something to celebrate: Californication will be back for more action.
Showtime announced Wednesday that its sophomore dramedy will return for a third season, with filming set to start anew this spring. Duchovny stars as Hank Moody, a (mostly) lovable novelist with a penchant for sex, drugs and rock 'n roll, plus a tumultuous relationship with his love Karen and their precocious teen daughter, Becca.

The U.K.'s Daily Mail is acknowledging that an article it published about the nature of the relationship between David Duchovny and a tennis instructor is "inaccurate."
"On October 19, an article about actor David Duchovny may have suggested he had an amorous relationship with a tennis coach, Edit Pakay," the paper said in a statement.
"We now accept this is inaccurate and Ms. Pakay and Mr. Duchovny are only friends who used to play tennis occasionally."

David Duchovny isn't taking recent affair rumors lying down. The actor plans to sue the U.K.'s Daily Mail over an article it ran that claimed he was romantically involved with a tennis instructor, his lawyer, Larry Stein, confirmed to TVGuide.com.
Over the weekend, the British paper ran a story alleging that Duchovny and Edit Pakay, with whom he's played tennis, were involved.
