Dave Holmes (MTV’s “Say What Karaoke”) is the host of TV Guide Network’s original game show series, CELEBRITY SAYS! In this daily game show, Holmes tests contestants’ pop culture knowledge by asking them to correctly guess missing parts of celebrity interviews. With humorous chatter from some of Hollywood’s favorite stars and even more humorous contestant responses, CELEBRITY SAYS! is the perfect game show for entertainment fans.
CELEBRITY SAYS! is the latest addition to Holmes’ lengthy hosting repertoire. However, the writer/actor/comic, who hails from St. Louis, actually began studying psychology and theatre at Holy Cross. Soon after, Dave moved to New York to escape the tedium of his day job as an advertising copywriter. He began plying his trade on the comedy circuit at night and in 1998, fate smiled upon him when he wrangled himself a VJ position at MTV. While at MTV, he hosted "Say What Karaoke," "120 Minutes," "Total Request Live" and many others.
More recently, Dave's been getting his act on with a recurring role as Leslie Frost on “Reno 911,” guest spots on "Mad TV" and “The Hughleys,” and singing and dancing on Broadway in "The Rocky Horror Show." He was also in the 2006 film "You Owe Us."
Referring to himself as the king of the interstitial show, he currently co-hosts FX’s, “DVD on TV” and Court TV’s, “Saturday Night Solution.” Dave also performs at LA's infamous Improv Olympic Theater with the acclaimed improv group King Ten and plays comedy festivals around the country with his sketch show, “Sometimes It’s Good To Be Loud.”
Holmes is also a Triathlete; he competed in both the May 2005 Wildflower Triathlon and Nautica Malibu Celebrity Triathlon.
