Deep Red -- The murder of a composer's neighbor has ties to the occult book the tunesmith is currently reading. When the songwriter decides to investigate the murder, he finds himself ensnared in a bloody web of intrigue.

Jack Lemmon stars as crabby American World War II veteran Bob Traven, who travels to Italy on a business trip and reunites with wartime buddy Antonio (Marcello Mastroianni), whose freewheeling Neapolitan lifestyle goes against all of Traven's uptight sensibilities. On his three-day stay in Naples, Traven learns from Antonio's unwavering enthusiasm and discovers that his former flame, Antonio's sister, still holds a place for him in her heart.

The tenants of a Manhattan apartment are terrorized by deadly spirits. Among other equally gruesome things, they are decapitated, clawed to death by cats, burned, and attacked by a knife-wielding killer. Another stylish horror opus from the incomparable Argento. INFERNO acts as a semi-sequel to his previous film SUSPIRIA (1977), involving the same witch-lore. This time around, there are a few very memorable set-pieces, most notably an eerie, breathtaking underwater scene. Stylish, violent, and classy all at the same time.

The second in Dario Argento's "Three Mothers" trilogy, Inferno focuses on a Manhattan apartment building that is inhabited by a deadly spirit that murders the tenants in increasingly gruesome and sadistic ways. When poet Rose discovers a book that suggests she's living in a building built for one of three evil sisters to rule the world, she pleads for her brother to visit her from Rome. But when he arrives, she's disappeared without a trace.
