Arnold Schwarzenegger, Danny DeVito

Universal Pictures is planning a sequel to the 1988 flick Twins — with a twist, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Ivan Reitman-directed comedy starred Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito as twins conceived from a government genetic experiment gone awry who were then separated at birth. The follow-up film, called Triplets, would reunite the two stars as Julius and Vincent, who discover that they have a third sibling — to be played by Eddie Murphy.

Danny DeVito and Charlie Day

His TV show is in its seventh season. He starred in a hit summer film. And his wife is having a baby! But this is no time to relax and enjoy the moment, as It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia star Charlie Day learned when he hosted Saturday Night Live for the first time. During his monologue, Day got a surprise visit from his Sunny co-star Danny DeVito, who said guys like him and Day have to work because they're not pretty boys. "You're a virgin, man. You gotta put out for these people," DeVito said. It pushed Day to sing a song and play some — as he called it — mediocre... read more

Romancing the Stone

Get Billy Ocean on the horn! NBC is planning to adapt Romancing the Stone as a television series, Deadline reports.

The box office smash, which launched Turner's career and is considered Douglas' comeback film, spawned an equally successful sequel, 1985's Jewel of the Nile — and two killer theme songs, Eddy Grant's funky original and Ocean's peppier follow-up.

New Rift Opens in SAG over Strike Vote

90210, Lost

Leaders of the Screen Actors Guild plan to hold an emergency meeting after the union's New York board came out against holding a strike authorization vote. read more

SAG to Vote on Strike, But it Looks Close

The Screen Actors Guild will send strike authorization ballots to more than 100,000 members of the union on Jan. 2, but the dismal economic climate and the pleas of several prominent actors not to strike could make the vote close. Votes will be tabulated by Jan. 23, and could lead to a strike that would affect all shows covered by SAG — mostly expensive, filmed series like Lost. Taped shows, such as Gary Unmarried, Rules of Engagement, and 90210 are covered by another union, the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. That union, which also includes 44,000 people who also belong to SAG, has already accepted a contract similar to the one studios are offering SAG. read more

The Philadelphia Story

OK, again, digging ya’ll who checked in last week. The fun we had, huh? And what better way to recover from the lost joys of The Land of the Lost than with some love for the City of Brotherly Love. As bhm1304 guessed last week, the best FX sitcom you’re not watching is…It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.Granted, while it’s not really always sunny here, as a right proud Philly boy who just spent Labor Day wandering Center City, reading in Rittenhouse Square and chowing down on The Continental’s insane crab Pad Thai, I have to say that this town does indeed rock.Much like this dirty little gem. Centered on foul-mouthed pub owners Mac, Charlie and Dennis, his barmaid sister Sweet Dee and a still unnamed coffee-shop waitress who could teach Friends Gunther a thing or two about stealing scenes, Sunny is best compared to Seinfeld…if Jerry’s posse had less morals and raging drinking problems. Once Danny DeVito joins in for season 2 as Dee and Dennis&#... read more
