Frasier is baffled when Julia kisses him unexpectedly. Julia tells Frasier that she ended the affair with his friend Avery because he wouldn't leave his wife; she thinks he used her to get his hands on the financial software she's developing, which is still in Avery's computer. Frasier is sympathetic and agrees to go with her to get it back, but isn't happy when Julia breaks into Avery's office. When she hears the cleaning lady come in, Julia pulls Frasier into the closet. While in the cramped quarters, Frasier encourages her to do the right thing and Julia spontaneously kisses him. However, instead of taking his advice, she ransacks Avery's office space and after finding the CD-ROM, she deletes his entire hard drive. Much to Frasier's disappointment, a competing station is interested in Roz for program director position. However, Roz nearly backs out of the interview when she realizes she has to meet with a man she had a fling with in Cancun 10 years ago named Woody. During the meeting, Roz accidentally divulges the details of the affair, and to her surprise, he denies it ever happened. The more she talks, the more he realizes it is another Woody Wiswell--his father! Despite the potential disaster interview, Roz lands the job. Although Niles objects to firearms, he gets coerced into taking a couple of shots at the practice range and discovers he's a natural. Niles' sudden interest in marksmanship baffles everyone, especially Frasier. In fact, he becomes such an enthusiast that he drags Daphne to a gun show and introduces her to his new peculiar friends, who invite him to their compound in Idaho. Niles is flattered, until Daphne finds out they're trying to overthrow the government. Frasier is desperate to find out why Julia kissed him, but she refuses to discuss it. Diane's dance teacher, Madame Likova, arrives at Cheers while Diane is at home and tells Sam that Diane will never be a good dancer. As everybody thinks that Diane is never going to dance again anyway, they tell her that Madame Likova gave her a glowing report.Meanwhile, Cliff buys an Alfredo and sells his old Chevy to Woody. Cliff discovers that the Alfredo is a real lemon while Woody finds that the Chevy runs perfectly now that he has released the handbrake. As for Diane, she bursts in for an audition at the Boston Ballet Company but is stopped in the nick of time by Frasier. He tells her what Madame Likova 'really' said about her dancing.
