Argentina's President Cristina Fernandez met with the national team on Monday (July 14), shortly after the team touched down from neighbouring Brazil. Despite the team's 1-0 loss against Germany in a nailbiting World Cup final on Sunday (July 13), thousands of supporters came out to welcome the squad home. After greeting each player, Fernandez said that she felt proud of the team's hard work on the pitch.
