  • Best known for playing Michael J. Fox's goofy father George McFly in the 1985 time-traveling comedy Back to the Future. Glover had previously appeared as a guest on Fox's hit sitcom Family Ties.
  • In a notorious 1987 appearance on Late Night With David Letterman, he challenged Letterman to an arm-wrestling match then did a karate kick close to the host's head before being kicked off of the show.
