Was raised in a family of musicians and singing in church choirs, and frequently plays keyboard in his stand-up act.
Started doing stand-up comedy while in college; career took off after Robinson won first place in festivals such as the Miller Genuine Draft 1996 Comedy Search and the 1998 Oakland Comedy Festival.
Best known for the role of sarcastic warehouse worker Darryl Philbin on NBC sitcom The Office.
