Corey Haim's tragic death exposed widespread confusion about him and his frequent collaborator Corey Feldman, as many confessed via Twitter that they don't know which Corey is which. Corey Haim and Corey Feldman's personal problems following their 1980s rise to fame are by now well documented. Yet in Sunday's Season 2 opener of A&E's The Two Coreys, things took an even more serious turn when each revealed having suffered sexual abuse as a teen. In a cantankerous exchange, each Corey suddenly throws barbs at the other for having gone without support from the other. Things get heated until finally Haim marches off camera. In interviews with GQ, each responds to the scene, with Feldman saying he knows who did it and got over it, and Haim essentially brushing it off. Why reveal these things now, in a reality show, of all places? Feldman claims Haim broke a mutual agreement by bringing it up on camera, while Haim says simply, "That's life in this world." A&E has ordered a second, 10-episode season of The Two Coreys, as in Haim and Feldman. It's an interesting development if only (with the emphasis on if only) because the childhood pals and costars of one of my fave WWUTI films, The Lost Boys, were fervently feuding at the close of Season 1. In fact, producers tell the Reporter the former friends have not seen each other since, suggesting to me that neither has flipped through the bargain bin at the local FYE.

MI-5 fans, mark your calendar. The date: Saturday, Oct. 21. The time: 11 am-7 pm ET/PT. This is when the remainder of the new season of MI-5 will be shown. NOT on Fridays anymore. I just opened a flood of panicked e-mails from fans of this terrific British spy import, who have waited more than a year for a new season to be broadcast, wondering why the show suddenly vanished after only two episodes to be replaced by yet another vintage CSI: Miami episode.The reason seems pretty obvious: I'm assuming the numbers for MI-5's return in the inhospitable 11 pm/ET Friday slot were subpar. It's not as if A&E had gone out of its way to promote it, since a top-notch drama like this no longer fits into the channel's mandate for bottom-feeding reality. Per Variety, Fox has made a pilot commitment to We, The Jury, a single-camera comedy from David E. Kelley (Boston Legal) about the sequestered jury in a high-profile trial.... FX is developing an untitled legal thriller about a tough-as-nails female attorney, from scribes Todd A. Kessler (The Sopranos), Daniel Zelman and Glen Kessler.... A&E has greenlit The Coreys: Return of the Lost Boys, a half-hour series about the grown-up lives of Mr. Feldman and Haim, to debut early next year, and ordered 13 episodes of Paranormal U, a look at Penn State's paranormal-research society.
