Wednesday Review: Mob City, Kristie, Arrow's Flash-y Newbie

A deluxe if derivative wallow in crime awaits viewers of TNT's Mob City (Wednesday, 9/8c) a six-hour primer in film noir attitude from The Walking Dead's Frank Darabont that's as sleek as the brilliantine in "fixer" Milo Ventimiglia's impeccably styled hair. Saturated in neon hues and evocative shadows, this limited-run series (airing in two-hour blocks over three Wednesdays) is gorgeous to behold even when it lays on the noir trappings awfully thick.

Virginia’s Daddy Issue! Baby No. 2? 7 Teases for the New Season of Raising Hope

Thanks to the one-two punch of NCIS and Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Tuesday nights at 8/7c have become pretty crowded. Which is why Raising Hope's new showrunner, Mike Mariano, isn't all that worried about the show's move from Tuesdays to what was once believed to be the death timeslot of Fridays. "I'm thrilled by it because I think the Tuesday-at-8 timeslot is one of the toughest on television," Mariano tells TVGuide.com. "I'm not as intimidated as I would have been in other years going to Fridays. ... But it's also really out of my control. I'm thrilled to be on the air."

After a slightly extended time off the schedule, Raising Hope returns Friday (9/8c, Fox) with two new back-to-back episodes and a slew of impressive guest stars including... read more

The Millers Boss: We're Not the Farting Show!

There seems to really be no way to talk about CBS' new sitcom The Millers without talking about farts.

The series, premiering Thursday at 8:30/7:30c on CBS, stars Will Arnett as TV journalist Nathan Miller. When Nathan reveals his recent divorce to his mother Carol (Margo Martindale) and father Tom (Beau Bridges), Nathan's parents also decide to split up and Carol moves in with Nathan. But ever since the pilot was made available to critics, the most-talked about scene of the show involves Martindale's character unknowingly passing gas. Needless to say, the focus on flatulence has concerned creator Greg Garcia, who insists there's more to the show than fart jokes.
