Matthew McConaughey. Christophe Nolan at Comic-Con
Comic-Con got off to a great start Thursday when the Paramount panel abruptly ushered off Megan Fox mid-Q&A, replacing her with a surprise appearance from Christopher Nolan and Matthew McConaughey.
Stephen Amell and Jessica De Gouw
Arrow's endgame may involve Oliver ending up with Laurel, but that doesn't mean he can't find a little loving before then.
In fact, Oliver (Stephen Amell) may find what he's looking for in Helena Bertinelli (Jessica De Gouw), the daughter of a mob boss (Jeffrey Nordling) who seeks to avenge her family's murder. But sparring with The Huntress is on the lower end of Oliver's list of priorities, which includes dealing withVertigo (Fringe's Seth Gabel), who was rumored to be Season 1's big bad.

However, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg insists that someone else is actually the big villain of Season 1. Could that have anything to with the fact that the identity of John Barrowman's character will be revealed in Wednesday's episode (8/7c, CW)? Check out what Kreisberg has to say below:
Look up in the sky! It's an actual bird. And there's an actual plane! And there's a hooded figure jumping from one rooftop to another! Seems plausible? That's because in the world of The CW's Arrow, everything — even Oliver Queen's trick arrows — is grounded in a reality unlike anything viewers have seen on a superhero series before.

Get ready for another superhero series!
This fall on The CW's Arrow, fans will get to follow the exploits of DC Comics' Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell), a playboy who spent five years on a deserted island after a horrific boating accident. The prodigal son will return home and use the alias Green Arrow, a superhero who's super handy with a bow and arrow, to save his precious Star City from the criminals who lie in wait. Arrow has all the trademarks of a great superhero series, including a lost love — Katie Cassidy as Dinah "Laurel" Lance — and the loss of a, spoiler alert, parental figure.

Therefore, we've created a list of things that Arrow should and shouldn't do in order to be successful based on tried-and-true heroic formats:
