Man Up! Ratings meh! Last Man Standing? Nearly 3 million standing ... and walking away.
The debut of the ABC sitcom about three guys (Christopher Moynihan, Mather Zickel and Dan Folger) sussing out what it takes to be a modern man (and whether it includes using pomegranate body wash) grabbed 7.8 million viewers at 8:30/7:30c, posting a 2.4 rating among industry-prized 18-to-49-year-olds — third in its time slot by both measures. Reviews deemed the show insultingly bad.
At 8/7c, a week after Tim Allen's new sitcom debuted to 12.95 million viewers, the show had 10.20 million tuning back in — a 21 percent drop. It also garnered a 3.0 demo rating, down from 3.5 a week ago.

Will you tune in to watch three 30-something guys (Christopher Moynihan, Mather Zickel and Dan Folger) try to figure out what it means to be a man these days (and whether it entails pomegranate body wash)?
Oh, ABC. How adorable that you felt that your sad new sitcom Man Up! (8:30/7:30c) deserves an exclamation point. As in, maybe: Yikes, this sucks! The network describes this latest "comedy" about male insecurities as being "in the vein of The Hangover." Only in the vein of people who watch The Hangover and think: Boy, I wish I could be that funny.
Suburgatory's Jane Levy has an awesome life, Man Up! is not the Chris Moynihan show and that isn't all of Emily VanCamp's real body on the hot Revenge promo all over the country.
ABC released previews from 11 of its new series for the 2011-12 TV season, including a new drama from Shonda Rhimes, the remake of Charlie's Angels and Tim Allen's return to TV.
