Saturday Night Live is adding two new faces. Aidy Bryant and Tim Robinson are slated to join the sketch comedy series for its upcoming 38th season, The Comic's Comic reports.
Both comedians are veterans of the legendary Chicago improv troupe Second City, which boasts a hefty list of SNL alums, including Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. Bryant is also a member the musical improv group Baby Wants Candy.
It's all about the fresh faces in Tinseltown these days, and Vanity Fair is celebrating this new wave of young Hollywood by featuring them in their upcoming August issue. Besides the stylish cast of Gossip Girl getting some serious love in the pages of this magazine, celebs including the Jonas Brothers, Emma Roberts, Zoe Kravitz and even McLovin' made the cut as the best and brightest of their generation. BTW, don't be surprised to not see Miley amongst the bunch.
OK, this one is much funnier than Hayden's PSA (probably because you can never have enough McLovin' in your life). Heroes' Kristen Bell is reaching out to all of you to help this young Superbad star, who is destined for failure, from becoming a washed-up Hollywood degenerate. Can we get a "chicka-chicka-yeeeeah"?!
Rapper Xzibit, Amanda Peet (Studio 60) and Billy Connolly have joined the cast of the new X-Files film. Everything is hush-hush, but the Reporter hears that Xzibit and Peet will play fellow FBI agents of Mulder and Scully
. Friday Night Lights Zach Gilford is in talks to play Alexis Bledels would-be beau in the The Post-Grad Survival Guide.... Jamie Chung (ABC Family's upcoming Samurai Girl) has joined the live-action adaptation of Dragonball, playing the love interest of Justin Chatwins Goku
. Christopher Mintz-Plasse, aka Superbads McLovin, is reuniting with producer Judd Apatow for Year One, a comedy set in biblical times.
