Christopher Knight: I Had to Choose Between My Wife and Brady Mom

In this video, Christopher Knight first talks about the "insidiously difficult" job of hosting a game show, as he does with the brand-new and syndicated Trivial Pursuit: America Plays. "The producers saw something in me," he shrugs. "But it isn't easy."At the 3:15 mark, I ask Christopher about the feud he was subject to earlier this year, when Brady Bunch mom Florence Henderson broadcast her disapproval of his choice of wife, former Top Model Adrianne Curry. Reflecting on Flo's rant, Knight says, "I don't know what she was thinking," deeming Henderson determined to "be public with her disbelief of my marriage." In the end, Knight was forced to choose, and he goes into detail about that decision at the video's end. — Matt Mitovich read more

Brady Kid to Host New Trivial Pursuit

Christopher Knight by Alexandra Wyman/WireImage.com

From Surreal Life to Celebrity Circus, Christopher "Peter Brady" Knight has been all over the reality scene, but the Brady Bunch star is shifting gears and finally getting a piece of the game show pie. Knight is set to begin production as host of the new fall game show Trivial Pursuit: America Plays. The new series, based on the Hasbro classic board game, will feature a unique twist, allowing viewers to get in on the action by submitting their own trivia questions online. (They also earn a chance to win prizes by playing along as it happens.) So will viewers become as addicted to this series as they are to Howie's bald head money-stuffed suitcases? Knight thinks so. "Once you start, it’s hard to stop, and I think viewers' fascination with pop culture will keep them coming back for more," says the former child star. "Or they can tune in and be bathed in my boyish enthusiasm."The half-hour game show begins production this week and is set to premiere in national syndication (check... read more

A TV Guider Runs Off and Joins the (Celebrity) Circus

Sabato and TV Guide's Carita get into the swing of things.

Warning: Joining NBC's Celebrity Circus could be hazardous to your health. "On [other shows], they can break a nail," executive producer Matt Kunitz tells me. "On our show, you can break a bone." No kidding. So far, Christopher "My Fair Brady" Knight has cracked his arm while training for the six-episode series, supermodel Rachel Hunter has injured her neck, actress Stacey Dash (Clueless) has nearly broken two ribs, and singer Blu Cantrell is so bruised she has to cover up to avoid really awkward conversations. Suddenly, volunteering to join this show does not sound like a smart move. "Don't worry. It's crazy safe," I'm told. read more

Jeers: Just Another Media Circus

Celebrity Circus by Chris Haston/NBC

Jeers to Celebrity Circus for being far from the greatest show on Earth. I was impressed by some of the feats performed by Antonio Sabato, Jr., Stacey Dash and Christopher Knight. But turning it into a standard-issue competition with a grinning host (the omnipresent Joey Fatone), viewer voting and a weekly elimination brings NBC's new reality show crashing to Earth. Worst of all is the obligatory trio of judges: trapeze artist Aurelia Cats (whose most coherent comment was meowing at Sabato, Jr.), Olympic gymnast Mitch Gaylord (hey, anyone remember American Anthem?) and flamboyant choreographer Louie Spence (a Bruno Tonioli wannabe). CBS' Circus of the Stars didn't need this kind of gimmickry—or a weekly time slot.• Share your own raves and rants about other shows on the Reader Cheers & Jeers discussion board.• We may feature your Cheer or Jeer on TVGuide.com or in TV Guide magazine! read more

Antonio Sabato Jr. Takes You behind Celebrity Circus

Contrary to popular belief, the latest reality series that follows a wide array of C-List celebs in a ridiculous environment isn't a part of a VH1 roster. NBC's Celebrity Circus pits the likes of Christopher Knight (Peter Brady) and Antonio Sabato Jr. (every soap known to man) against one another in death-defying circus stunts — all while filming in front of a live audience. Our money is on Wee-Man! read more

"Marcia Brady" Gets Her Life — and Self — in Shape

Maureen McCormick, Celebrity Fit Club

The 1970s' grooviest teen dream queen will be returning to America's living rooms when Celebrity Fit Club 5: Men vs. Women premieres April 22 on VH1. Not that Maureen McCormick or her many incarnations of Marcia, Marcia, Marcia ever left our Brady Bunch-lovin' hearts. After all, the kitschy kidcom loops endlessly in reruns, and its complete-series DVD set — touting a "shag carpet" cover and assorted spin-offs — hits stores today. But the 2007 Mo is about so much more than Davy Jones crushes. Still ebullient and girlishly pretty at 50, she peels back layers of "Brady perfection" to reveal the years of human heartache and loss that led to a 30-pound weight gain and her first-ever reality-TV gig. Here, she gives TVG read more
