A dead seal 'crashes' Niles' gourmet dinner party. As a finalist in his gourmet club's Golden Apron elections, Niles must host an elegant dinner party. When Frasier hears that one of the dinner guests owns a group of radio stations, he offers to hold the event at his condo. But when Niles notices a crack in one of Frasier's windows, he remembers that Maris is in Europe, and decides to use her chic beach house instead. The house is perfect. Niles has even lined up renowned chef Marcel du Boeuf to cook the meal. There's only one problem: a dead seal has washed up on the sands in front of Maris' house. When animal control officers refuse to remove it, Niles wraps the fish in one of Maris' dressing gowns and they haul it out to sea. With the guests arriving any minute, the brothers are stunned when the tide washes the seal back on shore. Frasier agrees to drag the carcass out to sea once again. Just when the dinner seems to be back on track, the dead seal reappears. Niles slips out of the party to stab holes in the seal to make it sink, but a neighbor sees Niles and calls the police, who interrupt the party and announce they're investigating a homicide. The neighbor identifies Maris' bloodied dressing gown, which has also washed up on shore. Unable to convince the police of their innocence, Frasier and Niles are dragged away in handcuffs before Niles' distinguished guests. watch
